The main difference lies in the measurement system.

• Ukrainian standard is traditionally based on the half-bust measurement (for example, size 48 means the half-bust measurement equals 48 cm).

• European sizes (EU/INT) usually use letter labels (S, M, L, XL, etc.) that cover a certain range of measurements.

Confusion often arises because European patterns may be slightly narrower, while Ukrainian ones are intended for a looser fit, which is very important for the traditional vyshyvanka.
